/Police Vow to peace for election Uganda

 Kale
Uganda's police chief has promised that officials will be vigilant to ensure peace and tranquility during the elections tomorrow.
Inspector general of police Kalekezi Kayihura said voters are unfit to be concerned about their safety.
He said the incident happened Monday where police were confronted by supporters of opposition candidate Kizza Besigye constituted by misunderstandings and lack of cooperation.
Mr Besigye was detained by the police for some time.
Police said he was detained because he was going through unauthorized areas in the city of Kampala.
One man died during the clashes between his supporters and police that lasted several hours.
"We have been quiet during this pre-election, except a few cases here and there," Mr Kayihura told the press in Kampala.
"That happened Monday was due to the lack of cooperation from the members of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) (Besigye his party). Yesterday there was a calm."
